WHO?
High level folk groups, max. 40 people including dancers, musicians, drivers and directors.
Each group should bring its own musicians (tapes or recorded music of any kind are not allowed) and it should present a programme that varies from 10 to 20 minutes. You can check the groups that participated in previous festival editions. They are divided by countries and year.
WHICH ARE THE CONDITIONS?
Accommodation and meals (4 daily) are offered by the festival. Groups stay in a school 8 km away from Monção. The festival pays fuel (for the groups who come by bus), or flight tickets from the moment when the group arrives to the Portuguese border with Spain - Salvatierra do Miño or Tuy - or the airport in Oporto (Portugal) and Vigo (Spain). Concerning the groups who come on their own bus, the cost per km is written in the contract made by the group and the festival. Each group member receives pocket money according to CIOFF regulations.
